Rieslaner

Rieslaner (/rēs-lahn-ǝr/) is a white grape varietal that characteristically produces acidic medium bodied white wine. It is a cross of riesling and silvaner and is most common in the Pfalz and Franken wine regions of Germany (“anbaugebiete”/on-bou-gi-bēt-ǝ/). Rieslaner’s flavor profile typically consists of white peach, muscat grapes, nectarine and with a little age, passion fruit and dried fruit. The Pegasus rieslaner by Weingut Weegmüller is a superb sweet rieslaner.
