Scheurebe

Scheurebe (/shoi-rāy-bǝ/) is a white grape varietal that is mostly grown in the Pfalz and Rheinhessen wine regions of Germany (“anbaugebiete”/on-bou-gi-bēt-ǝ/). It is a cross between riesling and silvaner varietals. Scheurebe wine is typically light gold in color with moderate acidity and profound aromatic tones. It’s fruit tones can include black currant, mango, tangerine oranges, lime, peach, apricot, pear, honeydew melon and bananas. See the scheurebe varietal wine by Weingut Weegmüller.
