Württenberg is Germany’s fourth largest officially recognized wine growing region (“anbaugebiet”/on-bou-gi-bēt/). It is located to the South of Franken and to the East of Northern Baden. Like Baden, Württenberg also has a small separated area of vineyards on the border of Switzerland at Lake Konstanz (“Bodensee”). You can find specialty red wines in Württenberg that are rarely grown elsewhere. They include lemberger and trollinger which is its main varietal.
