Weingut Schloss Neuweier
Schloss Neuweier typifies one of the things we at Traubenhaus truly love when it comes to experiencing the wines of Germany: history. The outstanding feature of Schloss Neuweier that is its castle dates back to the 12th century. And while little is known of its earliest beginnings there is evidence indicating that it was built on a Roman site. It has carried on a storied—and sometimes tumultuous—history.
The winery as it exists now builds on a tradition of exceptional wine, led by the efforts of Robert Schätzle. His stewardship of the vineyards and dedication to biodynamic production are evident when experiencing the results of his craft. All of this effort ensures that Schloss Neuweier continues to honor the wish of Ms. Jacoba Stoltenberg Rössler (the last owner of the Baden-Baden family): that all people should have the opportunity to enjoy the wines in the place where they’re produced.
